The Destination for Vintage Wedding Dresses in NYC & NJ

Maybelle has so many beautiful vintage bridal dresses, veils, and accessories. And Christine is incredibly knowledgeable, as well as someone who possesses detailed craft for sewing. I had visited three other vintage bridal places in Manhattan, but they were not comparable to Christine's selection in terms of quality and price point. After finding my dress at Christine's, she also helped me figure out my matching veil and some modest alterations. I absolutely loved my dress, and I really felt there was a timeless quality to her work.

I absolutely cannot recommend Christine and Maybelle enough. I brought my grandmothers dress (from the 1940’s) to be restyled for my wedding and not only was it lovingly cared for (steamed, cleaned, and safe), but I had the choice of 3 different designs for the recreation. My dress was transformed, fit me perfectly, was on trend for the season and was the talk of my whole wedding.

I am forever grateful that I stumbled upon Christine's work. We worked together over the last six months to breathe new life into a beautiful raw silk dress that I had found at a thrift store. From our first meeting, she was clearly so deeply knowledgeable in her craft. Visiting her studio in NJ was truly a delight. I look forward to working with Christine on whichever vintage dress I end up choosing for my larger wedding celebration in 2027.

Christine was wonderful to work with and truly made the process of up cycling my mother’s wedding dress from the 80’s so easy and enjoyable. She was professional, communicative, and did an incredible job bringing my vision to life. I ended up loving the dress so much I wore it for more occasions than I had originally planned. Maybelle found and restored a stunning 1960’s dress, which I wore to my wedding. Several guests said it was the most beautiful dress they’d ever seen, and I agree. I’d been to other stores and found nothing I wanted - but at Maybelle I loved three different dresses. Her work is so unique, with high quality dresses that you truly could not find anywhere else. Can’t recommend enough.

She was creative and innovative and made this process so easy and so personal! I love that I am able to wear my mothers wedding dress with a modern twist and cannot wait to wear it on my wedding day!

Christine made it such a seamless process. She is so very talented where we were able to take my mom’s 90s dress to a cute two piece top and skirt for an elevated reception look. I’m so beyond impressed with the final result and can’t wait to wear for my reception.
