A Sun-Drenched Duplex Atelier
Tucked away in Maplewood, New Jersey — just minutes from New York City — Maybelle occupies a beautifully designed duplex space that is as considered as the gowns within it. Our ground floor is a private, sun-drenched showroom where you'll explore our curated collection of restored vintage pieces in a calm, unhurried setting.
Just upstairs, our creative atelier is where the real magic unfolds: where Christine and her team of expert craftspeople breathe new life into each garment, carefully deconstructing and reimagining vintage pieces with fresh purpose and extraordinary care.

At Maybelle, we believe no one should wear a planet-polluting, mass-produced dress for one of life's most sacred events. Every decision we make reflects our dedication to sustainable couture.
OUR COMMITMENT
Vintage Sourcing
Every piece begins with an existing garment — sourced vintage dresses that are often unwearable due to stains, damage, or their original size. We restore, deconstruct, and remake them into something breathtaking.
Deadstock Fabrics
We use pre-existing deadstock materials whenever possible — high-end silks and natural fabrics that are fully biodegradable. Unlike synthetics, they leave no trace on the planet after their beautiful life.
Local Labor
We work exclusively with local expert drapers, sewers, and pattern makers — skilled professionals who support and sustain the heritage dressmaking industry right here in New York and New Jersey.
Zero-Waste Packaging
We use only compostable garment bags and 100% recycled cardboard shipping boxes. Every element of how we deliver your gown has been chosen with care for the environment.
Scrap Recycling
We save every scrap. Offcuts are repurposed to customize veils or wrap bouquets. Any remaining lining scraps are donated to Fabscrap, New York's fabric recycling non-profit.
Clean Restoration
We've eliminated all harsh chemicals from our process, using only non-toxic, biodegradable cleaning detergents in the careful restoration of each delicate vintage piece.
