The Magic Behind our Maybelle Bridal Photo Shoot
What an exhilarating experience it was bringing our latest Maybelle vision to life! A photoshoot isn't just about capturing beautiful gowns; it's a dynamic collaboration where meticulous planning, mood boards, and creative ideas finally come to life. This past week, we embarked on an incredible journey, shooting a diverse range of stunning wedding looks across multiple unique locales.
Timeless Romance with a Juliet Balcony and Vintage Car
Every location we selected played a crucial role in telling the story of our specific bridal gowns. We began our day at the breathtaking property of our dear friends, Paul and Mary. Their generous hospitality and the sheer beauty of their space provided the perfect initial backdrop for a dramatic, reimagined 1960s vintage wedding gown fit for a princess, which we appropriately shot on their stunning Juliet balcony. We also captured a breathtaking, dramatic full bridal ball gown with a long, dreamy veil alongside an iconic aqua vintage Oldsmobile – a truly cinematic moment!
Speakeasy Glamour & New Designs
Later, the sophisticated charm of Perch Home, a gorgeous store and private events space, offered a completely different atmosphere. We embraced the speakeasy vibes there, perfectly highlighting our new line of vintage-inspired, made-to-order gowns, including glamorous charmeuse and liquid satin looks. The tile color, the rich dark wood, the unique vintage glassware, and those incredible pendant lights all add to the allure of the images.
Our original plan to shoot some spectacular bridal looks in beautiful Memorial Park was thwarted by a dark, pouring rain in the afternoon. But, as they say, the show must go on! So, we shifted gears and brought the magic back to the atelier! This unexpected turn allowed us to capture some truly special images in our own creative space, adding an element of thrill and spontaneity to the process.
This photoshoot was a true testament to the power of collaboration and adapting on the fly. My heartfelt thanks go out to Mod Schwalbe, our phenomenal photographer, and the incredibly talented makeup artist, Sheina Liberow, who masterfully created distinct looks for our models.
Despite the unexpected challenges, watching everything come together was pure joy. It just goes to show: while you can plan meticulously, sometimes embracing the moment and making the best of what comes your way leads to the most beautiful and authentic results. We're thrilled to share the final images with you in the coming weeks. Stay tuned!
